in 1642 a pakeha named  abel tasmen that was from the Nether-land to Aotearou (new Zealand)
he was thinking that he was the first person to find the island but their was Maoris and the first person to find the place was Kupe and that person was glad that Kupe was the first person to find New Zealand.The end

    Wouldn't it have been a strange sight to see Abel Tasman in his big ship and funny clothes show up on Aotearoa shores - I think Maori would have been very shocked and confused by his strange appearance.
